Extra health support during pregnancy
Our approach complements the care offered by midwives and health visitors offer, focusing on healthy eating, moving more, and stopping smoking. Some of the most successful programmes we currently offer include:
Healthy Pregnancy –this consists of four group sessions to encourage peer support. Sessions include the importance of a healthy diet and exercise and how to make positive lifestyle changes in a way that lasts.
Quit Smoking – a 12-week programme for pregnant mothers and family members; we concentrate on boosting motivation and confidence to empower them to stop smoking for good.
1:1 support –we also offer a 1:1 service for pregnant women, with a personalised assessment, health plan and help to access other local services.
